Flying in a B-17 Flying Fortress-2002

I had a truly once in a lifetime experience of flying on a restored WWII era B-17 called Nine-O-Nine during the summer. It was something I will never forget.

The B-17 parked at the airport.

The belly-gunner position

We sat on these cushions during landing and takeoff.

During the flight the upper hatch over the radio room was open. I was able to take this picture.

The pilots and flight controls

Me at the waist gunner's position during the flight.

Before we landed I took this picture of the shadow of the plane.
